ဗုဒၶစြယ္ေတာ္ျမတ္ စစ္မစစ္
သီရိလကၤာမွ ဗုဒၶစြယ္ေတာ္သည္ အရြယ္ၾကီးမားရွည္လ်ား၍ အရင္းဘက္က ဟိဟိရိရိျပတ္သား ေကာင္းလွေခ်လားဟု သံသယျဖစ္တတ္သည္။ ဤအခ်က္ႏွင့္ ပတ္သက္သည့္ တာ၀န္ရွိသူတုိ႔၏ အေျဖမွာ ေအာက္ပါအတုိင္းျဖစ္ပါသည္။
စြယ္ေတာ္သမုိင္း (ဘာသာျပန္)
ေအာက္ပါေဖာ္ျပခ်က္သည္ ျပန္လြန္ေတာ္မူသြားေသာ မႏုဂေလႅသီရိသိဒၶထၳနာယက မဟာေထရ္ျမတ္ထံမွ သူၾကားခဲ့သည့္အတုိင္း “ေသနရတ္ရနသိ ံဟဗႏၵာရကိရိအဲလ” က စြယ္ေတာ္ အေၾကာင္းကို ကြ်ႏု္ပ္တုိ႔အား ေျပာျပေသာ ေရွးဟာင္းစကားတစ္ရပ္ ျဖစ္ပါသည္။
ျမတ္စြယ္ေတာ္သည္ မာယာဒုေနဘုရင္၏ လက္၀ယ္သို႔ေရာက္ရွိလာေသာအခါ မင္းျမတ္သည္ ၎စြယ္ေတာ္ရွင္ကို “ေဒးလ္ဂမု၀” ေက်ာင္းေတာ္၌ ေစာင့္ေရွာက္ထိန္းသိမ္းထားေတာ္မူေလ၏။ ထုိေက်ာင္းပိုင္ ဘုန္းေတာ္ၾကီးသည္ စြယ္ေတာ္ျမတ္၌ က်ေရာက္မည့္ ေဘးဥပါဒ္ အႏၱရာယ္မ်ားကို ျမင္ရသျဖင့္ စြယ္ေတာ္အတုႏွစ္ဆူကို ဆင္စြယ္ျဖင့္ ျပဳလုပ္ေစခဲ့ေလ၏။
ထုိအခါ စြယ္ေတာ္တုႏွစ္ဆူအနက္ တစ္ဆူကို စြယ္ေတာ္စစ္ ကိန္း၀ပ္ေတာ္မူသည့္ ေနရာ၌ထား၍၊ အျခားတစ္ဆူကို ၀ိဒိေယဗႏၵာရနအား ေပးျပီးလွ်င္၊ ဘုန္းေတာ္ၾကီးသည္ မူလစြယ္ေတာ္စစ္ကို သူ၏ခါးတြင္ ကြယ္၀ွက္၍ “ပလာဗုဒ္ဂလ” သို႔ စြယ္ေတာ္ႏွင့္တကြ ၾကြေတာ္မူခဲ့ေလ၏။
ဤအခ်ိန္တြင္ ထုိမူလစြယ္ေတာ္စစ္ေနရာ၌ ထားေသား စြယ္ေတာ္တူႏွင့္ ၀ိဒိေယဗႏၵရအား ဖမ္းဆီးေသာအခါ ၎၏လက္ထဲ၌ရွိသည့္ စြယ္ေတာ္တုိ႔ကို ယူသြားၾကေသာ ေပၚတူဂီတို႔က သီထာ၀ကျမိဳ႕ေတာ္ကို ၀င္ေရာက္တုိက္ခုိက္ခဲ့ၾကပါသည္။ ၎စြယ္ေတာ္တုႏွစ္ဆူစလံုးကို အိႏၵိယျပည္ ဂို၀ါသို႔ပို႔၍ ဖ်က္ဆီးပစ္ၾကေလသည္။
ပထမေျမာက္ ၀ိမလဓမၼသူရိယကို ကႏၵီမင္းအျဖစ္ တင္ေျမွာက္ေသာအခါ “ေဒလ္းဂမု၀” ေက်ာင္းပိုင္ဘုန္းေတာ္ၾကီးသည္ မူလစြယ္ေတာ္စစ္ကို ထုိမင္းျမတ္အား အပ္ႏွင္းေတာ္မူေလသည္။ ထုိအခါ ၀ိမလ ဓမၼသူရိယမင္းသည္ ကုရု၀ိဋေကာ္ရလယ္နယ္ထဲတြင္ ျမစ္တစ္ျမစ္၏ ကမ္းပါးမ်ား၌ ျမဳပ္ေနသည္ကို ေတြ႕ခဲ့ေသာ ပတၱျမားတစ္လံုးကို ေဖာက္ထြင္းထားသည့္ ေက်ာက္ၾကဳတ္အတြင္း၌ ျမတ္စြယ္ေတာ္ကို ထည့္သြင္း ႒ာပနာေလ၏။
ေနာက္တက္ေသာ ေသနာရတ္မင္းသည္ ေက်ာက္ရတနာအဖံုးေၾကာင့္ ျမတ္စြယ္ေတာ္ကို ခိုးယူသြားလိမ့္မည္ စိုးရိမ္သျဖင့္ ထုိေက်ာက္ရတနာဖံုးအုပ္ထားသည့္ စြယ္ေတာ္ကို ေရႊႏွင့္ ဖံုးကြယ္ထားေလ၏။
ေနာင္အခါ ေရႊအဖံုးအိမ္ကို ကိတၱိသီရိရာဇသီဟမင္းလက္ထပ္တြင္ ေနာက္ထပ္လံုျခံဳမူအတြက္ ဆင္စြယ္ျဖင့္ ဖံုးအုပ္ထားျပန္သျဖင့္ ယခုအခါ ဖူးေတြ႕ရေသာအရာသည္ ဆင္စြယ္အဖံုးအိမ္သာျဖစ္၍ မူလ စြယ္ေတာ္အစစ္မဟုတ္ပါ....ဟူေပသတည္း။

The Following is a tradition related to us about the Tooth relic by Senarat Rana sinha Bancara Krialla ,Esq as heard by him from the late Madu galle Sri siddhartha Nayaka Mahathero; When the Tooth Relic came to the hands of king Maya dunne he kept it in the temple of Delgamuva.
The incumbent monk of the temple seeing the dangers that would befall it caused two artifical replicas to be made out ivory. Then keeping one of then in the place where the Tooth Relicproper was, and giving the other one to Vidiya Bandara he concealed the original Tooth Relic in his waist, and went to Palabodla with it. By This time Sitauka was invaded by the Portuguese who Carried away the artificial relic that was kept there and the replica of the Tooth that was in the bands of Vidiya Bandara when he was captured. They were both sent to Goa and caused to be destroyed, When Vimala Dharma Suriya I was crowned King of Kandy the incumbent monk of Delgamauva Vihara handed over the original Tooth Relic to the king. The King then ensbrined the Tooth Relic wittin a case cut out a ruby found embedded in the banks of a river in the Kurnvita Korale Later king senert fearing that the Tooth Relic would be stolen because of the the gem cover encased it (the gem covered Tooth) in gold. Later the golden case was covered over with ivory for further safety during the reign of King Kirti Sry Rajasinha, and what is visible today the ivory case, and not the orginal Tooth.
